Sherri Gurney is our Director of Communications, which is a great fit as she loves people and creating and strengthening relationships.  Almost a Nevada native, she grew up in Fallon and pursued a career in elementary education. After 27 years of teaching, she was called into ministry at First Presbyterian Church as the Family Ministry Coordinator. She moved into her current position in June of 2026. When not at church, Sherri enjoys time with her husband Joe as they kayak, garden, fish, road trip, or just sit on the couch eating popcorn and watching cheesy movies.
